Greeting

Teacher greets learners and introduces the lesson objectives.

Warm-up

 

On the board teacher writes up the words of “Sport games” and ask learners if they can name any.

·         Then, teacher writes up the following jumbled word: oofbtlla (football), enntsi (tennis) and ask the students if they can un-jumble the letters to make a word.

·         Hand out the worksheet and ask the learners to un-jumble the four words.

·         Teacher monitors and helps where necessary.

Finally, teacher checks the answers as a class and see what information the learners tell about sport games.

Task: (I) Reorder the letters to find these natural disasters.

1 st group Gaps (or Close Procedure)

Students are given sentences or sequences with gaps (missing words, numbers, or

symbols) and are asked to fill in the gaps.

2 nd group Flash Cards

Students are given note cards with a question, problem, or fact on one side, and the

answer or a related fact on the other side to aid them with reviewing the curriculum.

Students are placed in pairs and given 30 seconds to share all they know about a
